Tournament Rules

Formation/Arrangement:

6 cup triangle formation.
Cup rearrangement done after 4, 3, 2, and 1 cup remaining.
( 4=Diamond, 3=Triangle, 2=Straight )

Rearrangement is done after the round has been completed.
If you hit 2 in a row and get to go again, the round is not over.

Rules of Play:

There is NO DEFENSE, NO BLOWING, NO BOUNCING, and NO LEANING*. There will be NO DISTRACTION TACTICS, but we do encourage trash talking. The team that goes first is determined by using the Rock, Paper, Scissors method. Each Team throws two consecutive balls and vice versa. Each team member throws once per round. Once a cup has been sunk, the opposing team removes the cup immediately. If a team makes 2 in a row, they get the balls back and they go again. If your teams accidentally knocks a cup over while the opposing team has possession, that cup stays down and is considered sunk. If you knock a ball in by accident while your team has possession, or if you knock a cup over, the ball is removed and the cup stays. If a ball goes in off of anything on or around the table, that cup is considered sunk if your team has possession. Consumption of alcohol is not required.

Rebuttals:

If a team has 2 cups remaining and they sink both, there is no rebuttal. If a team has 1 cup remaining, they both need to sink the same cup for no rebuttal. All other scenarios allow a rebuttal where both opposing team members get one throw each. If the opposing team sinks 2 during their rebuttal, they get to continue the rebuttal. If the rebuttal finishes the cups, there will be a 3 cup overtime game. A rebuttal cannot win a game, it can only force an overtime. The team who completed the cups first, gets to go first in overtime. This is continued until we have a winner.

If there are any discrepancies during play, the Judge of the competition has final say.
